Who Am I?

Eternity. Eternal life. Heavy concepts.

What about your eternity? Have you thought much about it? When your time comes, is it all just…over? That’s it? You lived your life, hopefully did some good along the way, and had some fun. Done. Finished. Full stop.

Or is there more? Heaven or hell…forever. If there is heaven and hell, which one do you end up in?

It feels like those two possibilities potentially cover both ends of the eternity spectrum when our physical lives on earth come to an end. Maybe both feel too extreme for you, and you land somewhere in the middle. That opens myriad possibilities to the question at hand.

A serious question. A question we should all consider. A question we shouldn’t leave unanswered because, if we objectively consider all the above possibilities as being possible, this isn’t something we want to be wrong about.

So how can we be confident our decision about what our eternity, or absence thereof, will be correct or not? Again, considering all that may be on the line, not something we want to be wrong about.

Even with such a wide range of eternal possibilities for us to consider, we are all basically going to fall into one of three existential belief categories; agnosticism (the basic questions of existence are unknown or unknowable), atheism (non-belief in the existence of a supreme being), or religious (a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe).

Together, let’s explore what these belief systems mean. Ideally, this will be an open dialogue of thought for you with the resources we’ll be providing in the days to come.
