Where do we start? The truth is a great place...

If we want to be well grounded in anything we do, we need to search for the truth in it. Below are three truths that the world is operating out of today. Try to read through them all before forming an opinion. Then, contemplate on how they all intersect and how each one effects the truth that you are living from. See this through to the end of the page where you will have access to a free resource that can help you sort this all out. This isn't a magic pill. It will take some curiosity and effort on your part, but if you've come this far, I think you already know that you owe it to yourself to at least take a look at something that might answer some questions you have had for a long time. Questions you may have been afraid to even ask. If that's you and you have the courage to step through that fear, with bold confidence I can make you a promise. That fear can be turned into freedom. So, keep reading...I triple dog dare you...

Personal Truth

This is a truth that is based on our personal identity. It is rooted in who WE believe we are, what WE believe about our worldview, and how those two things mesh together to determine how WE feel about ourselves and how WE fit into the world we live in. Personal truth can be very limiting based on the level of conviction we give it in shaping or defining our identity. If we are not careful, it can become very "I" focused, at the expense of personal and spiritual growth.

Preferential Truth

We all have preferential truths. These are truths that contribute largely to our personalities. Truths that are true for us, not for somebody else, but still remain true. I love the color blue, and you can't stand it. Contradictory, but still true for both of us. It seems like many personal truths would fall under preferential truth, and they do. Where personal truth runs into trouble is how it intersects with the third truth.

Absolute Truth

Absolute truth is just that. Absolute. It is true for everybody, regardless of what anybody thinks. It governs natural law. Gravity. Electricity. We can't see those things, but we know they exist, and they work EXACTLY the same way ALL the time. The universe is governed by natural law. Therefore, it is governed by absolute truth.

We are part of nature. Following the simple outline above, we ourselves are clearly governed by absolute truth. We can also clearly see how personal truth conflicts with absolute truth. Enter our conundrum.
